Wykład profesora Michaela Peterka.

Katedra Urbanistyki i Architektury Struktur Miejskich Wydziału Architektury Politechniki Krakowskiej ma zaszczyt zaprosić na wykład profesora Michaela Peterka pt.: „Good practices of sustainable urban design: three examples from Germany - Freiburg, Tübingen, and Hamburg”, który odbędzie się 16 maja 2023 r. o godz. 16:30, na sali wykładowej W1, ul. Podchorążych 1.

Wykład odbędzie się w języku angielskim w ramach pobytu Michaela Peterka jako profesora wizytującego na Wydziale Architektury PK.

Michael Peterek jest architektem i urbanistą oraz profesorem na Uniwersytecie Nauk Stosowanych we Frankfurcie, z doktoratem obronionym w Instytucie Technologii w Karlsruhe. Od 2008 roku jest dyrektorem Międzynarodowego Programu Magisterskiego „Aglomeracje miejskie”, a od 2009 roku także Programu Magisterskiego „Zarządzanie środowiskiem i planowanie urbanistyczne w obszarach metropolitalnych”. W tym kontekście jest odpowiedzialny za współpracę międzynarodową z uczelniami nie tylko w Europie, ale także w Ameryce Łacińskiej (m.in. Brazylia, Chile, Kolumbia, Meksyk), w Australii, Azji (Wietnam, Tajlandia, Indie), Bliskiego Wschodu (Syria) i Afryki Północnej (Egipt, Algieria). Kieruje także Zespołem Badawczym Globalnej Urbanizacji na Uniwersytecie we Frankfurcie. Jego badania koncentrują się m.in. na ogólnoświatowej urbanizacji, rozwoju przestrzenno-funkcjonalnym miast-regionów, zintegrowanym planowaniu i typologii struktur urbanistycznych. Jest członkiem Niemieckiej Akademii Urbanistyki i Planowania Regionalnego oraz członkiem Rady Doradczej Urbanistyki Miasta Frankfurtu nad Menem. W październiku 2019 roku otrzymał Nagrodę Naukową Heskich Uniwersytetów Nauk Stosowanych.

Chair of Urbanism and City Structure Architecture Faculty of Architecture Cracow University of Technology is pleased to invite you to attend a lecture by Michael Peterek titled ‘Good practices of sustainable urban design: three examples from Germany - Freiburg, Tübingen, and Hamburg’ that will take place on 16th May 2023 at 16:30 in the W1 lecture hall at 1 Podchorążych street.

The lecture will take place in English as part of Michael Peterek’s activity as a visiting professor at the Faculty of Architecture, CUT.

Michael Peterek is an architect and urban planner, and professor of urban planning at Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences with a PhD from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. Since 2008, he has been director of the International Master Program “Urban Agglomerations (M.Sc.)” and since 2009 also of the Master Program “Environmental Management and Urban Planning in Metropolitan Areas (M.Eng.)”. In this context, he has been responsible for international cooperation with universities not only in Europe, but also in Latin America (among others Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico), in Australia, Asia (Vietnam, Thailand, India), the Middle East (Syria) and North Africa (Egypt, Algeria). He is heading the Global Urbanisation Research Team at Frankfurt University and his research is focused on worldwide urbanization, spatial-functional developments in city-regions, integrated planning, urban typologies. He is a fellow of the German Academy of Urban and Regional Planning and member of the Urban Planning Advisory Board of the City of Frankfurt am Main. In October 2019 he was awarded the Research Prize of the Hessian Universities of Applied Sciences.
