Z wielkim smutkiem przyjęliśmy wiadomość o przedwczesnym odejściu Professor Arch. Karin Elke Hofert Feix, byłej prodziekan Escuela Tecnica Superior d’Arquitectura de Barcelona, profesora Politecnico di Milano, która współpracowała z naszą Katedrą od 2008 roku.
Pani prof. Karin Hofert kilkukrotnie była profesorem wizytującym WA PK, uczestnicząc w programach międzynarodowych: Master in English oraz Bachelor in English. Współpracowała z naszą Katedrą na gruncie dydaktycznym i naukowym. Przyczyniła się do nawiązania współpracy pomiędzy naszą Katedrą, a dwoma wydziałami architektury Politechniki Katalońskiej: ETSAB w Barcelonie i ETSAV w San Cugat de Valles, które zaowocowały wieloma działaniami takimi jak warsztaty dydaktyczne, a także wspólne publikacje i międzynarodowe programy naukowe. Uczestniczyła we wszystkich konferencjach i międzynarodowych seminariach naukowych organizowanych przez nasz zespół w latach 2010-2023. Zasiadała również w radach naukowych wszystkich naszych konferencji i seminariów. Ostatnio wygłosiła wspaniały referat zatytułowany : Strategies to improve the public spaces in Barcelona podczas Międzynarodowej Konferencji Wise City w maju br.
Wielokrotnie odwiedzała Kraków, którym była zafascynowana, nawiązując z pracownikami Katedry i dawnego IPU osobiste przyjaźnie. Podczas naszych pobytów w Barcelonie była nieocenioną i pełną energii mentorką, przewodniczką i wspaniałym gospodarzem. Jej uśmiech, radość życia, szczodrość i serdeczność pozostanie z nami na zawsze. Będzie nam jej bardzo brakowało.
Pani Prof. Karin Hofert Feix zmarła w poniedziałek, 27.11.2023 roku.
It is with great sadness that we have received the news of the passing of Professor Arch. Karin Elke Hofert Feix, the former Vice-Dean of the Escuela Tecnica Superios d’Arquitectura de Barcelona and a professor of Politecnico di Milano, who had cooperated with our Chair since 2008.
Professor Karin Hofert was a visiting professor at the CUT FoA numerous times and participated in the university’s international programmes: Master in English and Bachelor in English. The Professor cooperated with our Chair in teaching and research. She contributed to the initiation of cooperation between our Chair and two faculties of architecture of Barcelona Tech: ETSAB in Barcelona and ETSAV in San Cugat de Valles, which resulted in many projects like workshops, joint publications and international research programmes. The Professor took part in all the conferences and international academic seminars organised by our team in the years 2010–2023. She was also a member of the academic boards of all our conferences and seminars. Just recently, she delivered an excellent presentation entitled Strategies to improve the public spaces in Barcelona during the Wise City International Conference held in May 2023.
Karin visited Cracow many times and was fascinated by, and many employees of the Chair and the former IUD became her personal friends. During our stays in Barcelona she was an invaluable mentor, guide and an excellent host. Her smile, joyfulness, kindness and warmth will remain with us forever. We will miss her dearly. Prof. Karin Hofert Feix has passed away on Monday, the 27th of November 2023.
